➳ Psalm 127:3-4
Children are a heritage from the Lord,offspring a reward from Him.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are children born in one's youth.
➳ Psalm 139:13-16
For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.
➳ Hebrews 10:23
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
You guys. We are completely over-the-moon excited!! Lord-willing, Baby Kramer will be making his or her appearance in August 2015.
This year, Sanctity of Life Sunday at church was so personal for me [sermon link]. I sat with tears off and on in the corners of my eyes, listening and my hand wrapped protectively around my stomach. As much as we love this little one already and are praying for growth, we also pray that the Lord's will would be done - whether He entrusts this little one to us for a couple more hours, days, weeks or many years to follow. Only He knows. For His plans are not our own.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9
Right now, we live day by day in thankfulness. We know that our child is a gift, fearfully and wonderfully made, no matter what happens. Our greatest hope is found in the cross, and our greatest prayer is that this little one would experience the Gospel and know the Lord personally someday.
"Children are gifts no matter how they come. They are gifts when they have all their fingers and toes. And they are gifts when they have infantile seizures. Down syndrome. Chromosomal abnormalities. They are gifts. PERIOD. No footnotes. Made by God." -Pastor Jason Meyer
Hebrews 10:23 has become so dear to our hearts during this time, as we hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, because He who promised is faithful. We cling to our Redeemer, trusting every step of the way and leaning on His new mercies and graces every morning.
Great is Thy faithfulness. Great is Thy faithfulness.
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed, thy hand hath provided.
Great is Thy faithfulness Lord unto me.
We are so grateful to our family and friends who have been and continue to be praying for us and the little gift that has been entrusted to us. Thank you for all of your support and joining us in praising the One who is wonderful.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works. My soul knows it very well.
We feel so blessed and excited about the upcoming Great Grandchild. Love all three of you very much.
