The Janson Wedding

Our dear friends, Peter and Claire, got married over Memorial Day weekend, so we traveled to Pete's hometown of Pierz, MN. Matt and Pete were roommates in college, and it seems like Claire has been a part of our friend group forever.  I forgot my camera, so the iPhone came in handy to capture some memories.

Signs lined the driveway leading to the reception.

Beautiful country decor.

Former roommates and their wives. Thankful and blessed.

Barn views never get old.

The men.

The head table.

Breakfast for dinner.

Dessert, and the timeline leading up to the big day!

Friendship.

We are so glad they are finally married and trying to savor our time together this summer before their move back to Michigan (insert Go Blue!).

"Staying married, therefore, is not mainly about staying in love. It is about keeping covenant. 'Till death do us part' or 'As long as we both shall live' is a sacred covenant promise – the same kind Jesus made with His bride when He died for her."

"Covenant keeping, not the effects of being 'in love,' is the main point of marriage... And tough-minded covenant keeping is the best soil for the long-term flourishing of tender affections."
 – John Piper, This Momentary Marriage
