The Birkie

Matt and I have officially registered to ski the American Birkebeiner this coming winter from Hayward to Cable, WI. It's only 54 kilometers. Seems odd to be thinking about winter during the summer, but definitely not too early to start training! :) As much as I have fall on my mind (don't get me wrong, I love summer too), we've been making the best of the hot temps - summery food and the guilty pleasure of visiting the local ice cream shop.  While stuck inside and keeping cool, I've also had some time to think about decor for our home and lounge around reading one of my favorite magazines, Real Simple. 

Karissa and I decided to go curtain and rug shopping the other day.  I love finding great deals (especially when it's things you are looking for), and Karissa managed to find this one at Bed, Bath, and Beyond - 2 curtain holdbacks, originally $25 dollars, priced at $13 but ended up being $4, plus 20% off coupon = $3. What a steal! Apparently, BBandB always has coupons which can add up in the long run.  It's easy, all you have to do is sign up at their website http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/ to recieve emails or coupon postcards mailed to your home.  Thanks Mom for letting me in on this great savings tip!
