Galapagos Islands | North Seymour

This is my Father's world,
the birds their carols raise,
the morning bright,
the lily white,
declare their Maker's praise.

Job 12:7
But ask the beasts, and they will teach you;
the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you.

Our other day trip was to North Seymour, a bird lover's paradise ($179 per person). Some of the largest populations in the world of nesting blue-footed boobies and magnificent frigatebirds are found here. Birds are EVERYWHERE. Quite literally. My camera could not keep up. I even had to switch memory cards at one point, and the hike was only 1.2 miles long. It was absolutely incredible.

Swallow-tailed gull.

Magnificent frigatebirds.

Juvenile.

Chick.

Land iguana.

Female frigatebird feeding her young.

After this visit, Matt is even starting to like birds.

As for me, the blue-footed boobies were the highlight.

Breeding behavior among the frigatebirds.

My second favorite birds were the breeding males.

Sea lion pup.

Not wanting to leave the birds!

Lunch back on-board.

Then off to beautiful Bachas Beach to enjoy the sun, sand, and sea.

It was a great way to spend the last day in the islands.
