Pizza Farm Adventures

Last summer, Matt and I ventured to one of Wisconsin's infamous pizza farms. We drove from the city on a Tuesday afternoon to the A to Z Pizza Farm located in Stockholm, WI. This particular farm is only open Tuesday evenings from 4:30-8:00 p.m. All of the ingredients they use to make their pizzas in the wood-burning oven are all grown or raised right on the farm. It is quite the sight to see and experience. Cars parked up and down the gravel road. Picnics set up on the lawn, including some very elaborate picnics complete with candles and bottles of wine. Lawn games and laughter.  We loved every minute of it.

It was delicious, and the dining experience is like no other.  If you are looking for something to do on a beautiful summer afternoon and evening, venture over the border, among the bluffs and rolling hills to a pizza farm.  You won't be disappointed. The views are incredible, and the pizza is delicious.

Things to Know Before You Go:
-This pizza farm has been open 15 years.
-They only take cash at this particular pizza farm.
-They change their menu and toppings, depending on what is in season.
-Bring your picnic blanket or table/chairs, plates, napkins, beverages, and other side dishes/dessert.
-There are no garbage cans. Whatever you bring, you take back with you.
-During peak season, it is BUSY.  Expect to wait for your pizza at least 1-2 hours.
-Bring lawn games, cards, or board games to pass the time.
-Cell phone service is hard to come by.  Have directions ahead of time or stop in town to get directions from the locals.
