I'm a little behind on blogging. I guess that's the way it goes sometimes. Between painting our master bedroom and weekend trips to Wisconsin, there has been little free time lately when we've been home. But we've managed to some fun now and then too. :)
We spent the last part of our Wisconsin tour in Door County. I love this part of the state - the sparkling water of Lake Michigan, trails, quaint shops and inns, apple orchards, wineries, and so much more. It is a great little getaway. It was quiet since school was back in session but so very refreshing to just hop in the car, explore, and spend time with my husband. The leaves were even starting to change which made us even more excited for fall! Door County has been called the Cape Cod of the Midwest, and if you are looking for a weekend getaway, we would totally recommend it. One of the things we would not suggest - Fish Boil. They are a Door County tradition, but Matt and I thought it was gross. Worst $50 we ever spent. Haha. At least we could laugh about it during and after dinner. Make sure you actually like fish before you try it out.
